As a part of the DINAMINE consortium, SPECTRAL Industries will manufacture and install a dedicated LIBS sensor at the open-pit feldspar mine (Felmica). The sensor will characterize the crushed rocks to evaluate the benefits of in pit crushing in terms of environmental and economic aspects. This wil enable a more selective transportation and processing of the material.
Our colleagues Sadia and Bob, together with other members of the consortium visited the Felmica mine site to see the processes at the plant and discuss the deployment of LIBS sensors for the required application.
