IRIS deep UV units are ready for shipment

28 November 2017

It took a while to prove that our in-house developed UV-CMOS camera is indeed operating below 200 nm, but the proof is here now. LIBS measurements on steel, arsenic and phosphor samples showed high signal-to-noise ratio emission peaks.

Also the purging ability of the IRIS spectrometer works according to design. It is possible to purge the IRIS spectrometer with nitrogen or argon and keep it free of oxygen for a couple of hours: ideal for measurement series outside the laboratory.
