Together with 12 partners originating from 5 different European countries, Spectral Industries was selected as one of the winners of EU Call: H2020-SC5-2014 on “Mining of small and complex deposits and alternative mining”. The aim of the project that is called REAL-TIME-MINING, is to develop for the first time a novel framework for real-time process reconciliation and optimization of mineral resource extraction in highly complex geological settings, particularly for scenarios when selective mining is required. With a total project budget of >5.5M the consortium will develop novel tools for resource-efficient and optimal highprecision/selective mining in geologically complex settings. Within the project, Spectral Industries will be responcible for developing LIBS instrumentation.
