SPECTRAL Industries is part of a European consortium of 5 partners, that was awarded the AIDED (Artificial Intelligence for Detection of Explosive Devices) project by EDA (European Defence Agency): AIDED will use a set of state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms able to identify unconventional (IED’s) and conventional (buried mines) explosive devices, and autonomously plan offline and run-time missions. It will also provide positioning, navigation, and mapping to control a fleet of robots that cooperate quickly to identify a safe passage in a high-risk area. The project will start later this year and SPECTRAL will further develop and deliver an autonomous LIBS chemical sensor.
